Publishing fee:
For editorially accepted regular manuscripts of up to 12 pages that will be published in 2026, the publisher
requires payment of a publishing fee / Article Processing Charge (APC) of EUR 810. For each additional page
exceeding 12 pages, an extra fee of EUR 30 per page applies.
The APC becomes payable after the manuscript has successfully passed the editorial and peer-review process,
after submission of the final revised version, and before final publication processing.
No final copy editing, typesetting, final formatting, DOI registration, online publication, or inclusion
in a journal issue will take place until the APC has been paid in full.
The APC covers the publication stage, including final manuscript processing, technical preparation,
online publication, archiving, DOI registration, indexing-related processing, data storage management,
and journal maintenance.
Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decision-making. Manuscripts are evaluated exclusively
on the basis of their scientific quality, relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, ethical
compliance, and technical suitability.
Waiver policy:
Acta Logistica operates under an Open Access publishing model. Authors are therefore required to pay an
APC to publish their work with open access under a Creative Commons licence.
The publisher may offer fee waivers or discounts on a case-by-case basis. Requests for a full or partial
waiver must be submitted before manuscript submission and sent by email to
info@actalogistica.eu.
Authors requesting a waiver should include the following information:
- Title of the manuscript
- Manuscript type (Research – Scientific; Professional – Practical; Review – Analytical; Educational)
- Name and affiliation of the corresponding author
- Type of waiver requested (full or partial)
- Justification for the waiver request
- Information on research funding
Publication fee discounts or waivers are considered independently and are never connected with citation
activity, planned citations, expected citation impact, journal metrics, rankings, quartiles, or citation
indicators.
Manuscript withdrawal and editorial processing fees:
The peer-review and editorial process is provided for manuscripts genuinely intended for publication
in Acta Logistica. Authors are expected to act responsibly, transparently, and in good faith throughout
the editorial and publication process.
Withdrawal of a manuscript before the peer-review process has started is possible without any editorial
processing fee.
Withdrawal of a manuscript after completion of the peer-review process and after receipt of reviewers’
reports is considered an exceptional situation and must be properly justified. In such cases,
the publisher may require payment of an editorial processing fee of EUR 300.
Withdrawal of a manuscript after editorial processing, technical preparation, final formatting, proof
preparation, or preparation of the article for publication is also considered an exceptional situation
and must be properly justified. In such cases, the publisher may require payment of an editorial and
production processing fee of EUR 500.
These fees cover part of the editorial, peer-review, administrative, technical, and production work
already performed by the journal. They do not represent an article publication fee and do not guarantee
publication.
The editorial processing fees may also apply in cases where authors fail to fulfil the agreed publication
conditions, fail to pay the APC after confirming the publication conditions, or stop communicating with
the Editorial Office after completion of peer review, editorial processing, acceptance, or production
preparation.
Peer-review reports, editorial comments, technical corrections, formatted proofs, and other editorial
outputs prepared by the journal are provided solely for the purpose of processing the manuscript for
publication in Acta Logistica and must not be used as a free editorial service for submission or
publication elsewhere.
By submitting a manuscript to the journal, the author(s) explicitly acknowledge that they have read,
understood, and accepted the publishing fee, waiver policy, manuscript withdrawal policy, and editorial
processing fee conditions stated above.
